Round-Up at the Australian Open - Sunday Jan 31st

31. January 2010 04:40

Well, the only part of the Australian Open left is the one that some people feel is the most boring, and some feel is the only part worth watching! We have only the men's singles final and the mixed doubles matches to go at the time of publication, but we'll be focusing on the Swiss-Scott rivalry today.

Where the Ball will Fall: Match Win Predictions

Day 13

Sean Berman, the Australian boy in the final of the Aus Open junior, was beaten by his opponent Tiago Fernandes of Brazil. Well done to both players!

Lleyton Hewitt has had hip surgery following his match against Roger Federer several days ago. Hewitt is taking strength from the examples of Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin, and hoping he'll be able to play by the French Open.

Today's Matches, Back in Time

Andy Murray has beaten Roger Federer 6 times in the past, to Federer's 4 wins against Murray. Andy Murray has also won four matches in the past 12 months where he was priced as the underdog, with similar odds to today's match.  Can anyone beat Federer in his present form, though … that is the question!

Quotes of the Day

"But this feeling of disappointment cannot take, you know, uhm, advantage on all the things I've done in the last few weeks. And it's just more than what I could expect for. I just have to remember that.....Even if it's quite soon after the match now, I'm sure there will be a lot of positive things I can think about in a few days. Uhm, it's been almost perfect. Just the last step, I couldn't make it", said Justine Henin after her valiant loss yesterday.
